Copper Cable Recycling Ltd helps trade professionals and businesses to turn waste cables into revenue. Some of our clients make thousands of pounds each year from their waste cables, without the lost time and inconvenience of taking scrap cables to scrapyards. Here’s how it works…
STEP 1 – Save your waste cables
Keep your offcuts, roll ends, scrap cables, etc from every job because they have a value. Please don’t allow waste cables to go to landfill or pay to dispose of them. Copper is 100% recyclable and can be reused repeatedly without any loss of quality. Stockpile all types of cables which contain Copper, including:
- Household Cables
- Armoured Cables / SWA (Steel Wire Armour)
- Network Cables & Telephone Cables
- Vehicle Wiring Looms
- Twin & Earth Cables
- Low Grade Cables
Some cables are valued at different rates (due to their copper content), so please try to separate different grades if possible. Mixed grade cables will be valued accordingly. Your cables do not need to be stripped because they will be processed by Granulator equipment.
Copper Cable Recycling Ltd Wheelie Bins
If we regularly collect at least 100kg of cables from you every 3 months, then you will qualify for a waste cable wheelie bin FREE OF CHARGE for your convenience. There is no deposit, no fee and no contract – if you stop using the service, we will simply collect our wheelie bin and re-use it elsewhere. Once the bin is full, contact us to arrange collection. A full 360-Litre Wheelie Bin usually contains approximately 100kg of cables.
Some clients provide their own storage ideas for their waste cables, or alternative we also provide Waste Cable Bulk Bags FREE OF CHARGE.
STEP 2 – Arrange a collection
Once you have around 100kg of waste cable (or more), simply contact us to arrange a collection at a convenient time and date:
- By Telephone 01406 431406
- By Email mail@coppercablerecycling.co.uk
We usually collect within a few working days. There are no collection fees.
As an added service to our clients, we are even able to collect bulk quantities of waste cables directly from site for large jobs, eliminating the need to transport the cables back to your premises.
We collect from 8am on weekdays. If you are busy on weekdays, we also collect on Saturdays.
We are based near Spalding in South Lincolnshire and collect from a 40 mile radius (or even further for large collections).
STEP 3 – The Collection
When we arrive, we will separate your waste cables into different grades (if necessary), and place them into bulk bags. The cables are weighed (using digital scales for accuracy) and then loaded onto one of our vehicles. The process only takes a few minutes.
The weights are recorded and the payment amounts calculated for each grade. Selling your cables directly to a processor cuts out the middleman and ensures you receive the full market value for your cables (often better prices than scrap dealers).
STEP 4 – The Payment
Once your total payment amount has been calculated, we will make the payment by bank transfer, which will arrive in your bank account immediately. We take the cables back to our processing plant, where the cables are granulated in order to recover the copper and plastics.
STEP 5 – Start saving waste cables again & repeat the process!
